Group owners should be notified if a group they own no longer has any members and will be deleted.

  Hello Jesse,

  This requirement can be fulfilled by setting up a smart group update job with notification enabled from the Notification tab. You can set the Notification as per your requirement and when there is no member left in the group, you will see this in the notification report that there are no more members in the group.

  Please let us know if this doesn't fulfill your requirement.
