Group Managed Service Account (gMSA) Support for SQL Server Databases
It would be nice if GroupID had complete support for using Microsoft Group Managed Service Accounts (gMSAs). gMSAs are supported for identity stores connecting to Active Directory environments, but a standard user/service account is still required if the GroupID database is stored on a Microsoft SQL Server instance and Windows authentication is used to connect to it.
It's also a bit convoluted in that both the SQL Server service account and the gMSA must be able to access the gMSA's password. Typically only the computer objects using the gMSA have access to its password.
