    +1 This is a great idea. Also struggling with this, initially i was thinking of just getting a list of groups with disabled users and then manually reaching out or transferring to one of the additional owners if present.

    But by just using the manager thats a good starting point to make sure there is at least 1 active owner and then its up to the manager to reassign to a more appropriate person. 

     

    Or taking this further using Active directory as the identity store.

    As there is no bultin attribute to capture termination date then have a rule/logic such as if user account is disabled for more than 7 days than classify them as terminated (it would be nice if this threshold could be customizable) 

    Once threshold is breached and owner is 'terminated' then 

    1) send request/alert to additional owners if there are any + former owner manager and allow one of them to takeover as primary owner.

    2) if no additional owners are present or none take ownership with 7 days (or customizable threshold)  it gets auto updated to manager.
