    Hello Sylvian,

Thanks for your input. For now, GroupID Management Shell is the way but we are working in more directions. I will relay this to our Product Team.

Now that we have released the tool, alot of our more technical users/engineers like the features in the self service portal but it is not scaleable/automated. There is the management shell but a web/REST API would be great as its simple.

I know this is something that will take time, so is there any documentation/best practices on how we could open up the management shell to many users? Would we need a separate server to handle just management shell requests (which could have a high volume) as i wouldn't want users connecting to the main GroupID servers themselves.

    Hello Paul,

GroupID Management Shell can be called remotely on another machine where other users/engineers can execute GroupID Management Shell cmdlets to perform different operations through GroupID without having to log in to the GroupID server. The process of connecting GroupID Shell remotely is documented in the Management Shell Guide.

    Hope this helps. Cheers!

This is not an API, this is providing admin access remotely to the GroupID servers.  From the Management Shell guide:

"The logged-in user machine must be a member of the Administrators group on the remote GroupID machine or the logged-in user must be able to provide the credentials of an Administrator"

The Shell is not an API. I've opened a new feature request for a REST API, since this suggestion was "answered":

Create REST API for Group ID Self-Service Operations – Imanami

    Hi J.C,

Thank you for taking the time to submit this valuable feedback. The feature to use REST APIs within groupID is already under development and will be available with the next release of GroupID.
